Every Tribe, Every Nation, Every Tongue
Yesterday I had the most encouraging and inspiring time with the missionaries and families at Vila Minha Pátria
We worshiped God together.
In one room and Varian language languages, the local Brazilian missionaries and 10 eager Americans worship God together despite the language barriers.
The most amazing opportunity was when we prayed together, each pairing it off Brazilian and American and praying for one another.
I had the opportunity to pray with one of my Brazilian sisters in Christ and she actually started first. I can tell that there was an eagerness in her heart.
And although I don’t speak a word of Portuguese and she does not speak English.
With the help of the Holy Spirit, I could still sense what she was praying for.
She gave gratitude for our presence in Brazil. She asked for protection for the rest of our journey while in Brazil. She prayed over her safe travels. And our mission and purpose both here in Brazil and in the US.
Although she couldn’t tell me what to pray for specifically for her, the Holy Spirit gave me honor, and I leaned into it.
I’m reminded of Revelations 7:9 where John expresses that
“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.” – Revelations 7:9 NIV
This is something that human minds can’t even imagine, but I got a chance to see a very small glimpse of it in an auditorium, on the outskirts of San Paulo Brazil, tucked away in a small countryside villa, where love community and Christ are at the sooner of everything they do.
This is just day too stay tuned for how much more God is going to do through the lives of everyone involved this week.
I have faith, do you?
