New Blog Series: The Wilderness Before the Call
A 4-Day Reflection on Matthew 4 and the Testing That Comes Before Purpose
I didn’t plan to write this series. It came from a place of deep wrestling—a moment where faith, pain, purpose, and vulnerability all collided. After returning from a life-changing mission trip to Brazil, I found myself in an unexpected spiritual battle.
What started as a personal journal entry turned into a 4-part journey through Matthew 4—Jesus’ own wilderness experience—and how closely it mirrored what I was walking through emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Each part of this series was written in real time. Not after the breakthrough. Not after the testimony was wrapped in a bow. But right in the middle of the waiting, the questioning, and the trusting.
Over the next four days, I’ll be sharing my heart—unfiltered and unpolished—as I explore:
- The emotional weight of being tested after a wilderness season
- How the enemy attacks identity, purpose, and desire
- What it means to follow God when you feel empty
- Why the wilderness is never the end—but a transition
If you’ve ever felt stuck between what God promised and what you’re still waiting for, this series is for you.
If you’ve ever been tired of being strong, or unsure if your faith is enough—this is for you too.
I pray something in these reflections reminds you that you are seen, known, and not forgotten…
Even in the wilderness.
